Parthasarathy Nemani, widely known as Parthu, is a renowned Indian Telugu playback singer, music composer, and performer, celebrated for his deep-rooted classical music background and significant contributions to the South Indian music industry.

With a repertoire of over 100 film songs and 2,000+ private tracks in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada, Parthu stands out for his versatility and artistic excellence. His melodious voice and emotive singing style have made him a household name among music lovers.

Parthu is also one of the few Telugu playback singers to perform on international stages, showcasing Indian music to global audiences. Recently, he made his debut as a music director in a Telugu film, further expanding his creative horizons. In addition, he has composed music for several fusion and devotional albums, blending tradition with innovation.

Beyond the recording studio, Parthu has made his mark as a live performer, TV host, and jury member on various music-based reality shows, earning respect for his musical insight and engaging presence.

Parthu Nemani began his journey as a music director with his debut in the film Nandeeswarudu, and has since composed music for a total of six feature films.

His talent as a composer is further reflected in his work on over 100 private albums, spanning a wide range of musical styles and showcasing his creativity and versatility.

Some of the most revered playback singers in Indian cinema — including Sri S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Smt. S. Janaki, Smt. K. S. Chitra, Sri Mano, and Sri Unni Krishnan — have brought life to Parthu’s compositions with their iconic voices.

A career highlight includes his contribution of two acclaimed songs to Swarabhishekam, the celebrated film by Kalatapaswi K. Viswanath. Among them, the track "Kudikannu Adirene", sung by Sri S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, remains an enduring favorite.

Early in his career, Parthu also served as the first composing associate to the legendary Tollywood music director Mani Sharma, gaining valuable experience that helped shape his musical journey.

Parthu Nemani began his career as a playback singer in 1996, making his debut with the film Kalyana Praptirastu, featuring music by the legendary composer Koti.

Since then, he has lent his voice to over 150 films across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages, contributing to the soundtracks of some of South India's most beloved cinema.

Parthu has had the distinction of singing for many of the industry's leading superstars, including Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Venkatesh, Srikanth, and Jagapati Babu, among others.

Beyond film music, his vocal repertoire includes over 4,500 private tracks recorded for major record labels throughout South India. His work spans a wide array of genres including devotional, light music, and folk, reflecting both depth and diversity.

Among his most celebrated devotional pieces is the Hanuman Dandakam, produced by Aditya Music, which has garnered over 52 million views on YouTube—testament to his enduring popularity and spiritual resonance with listeners.

Naa Ucchvasam Kavanam (ETV, 2024)

A 52-episode tribute to the legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, this vibrant and heartfelt show, hosted and executive produced by Parthu, began airing on May 19, 2024 on ETV.

Featuring cinematic luminaries such as Prabhas, Trivikram Srinivas, S.S. Rajamouli, Nagarjuna, and Mani Ratnam, the series takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through Sastry garu's life and works. Interwoven with anecdotes, rare photos, and over 100 songs rendered by 25 renowned playback singers, this show stands as a landmark tribute in Telugu television history. Palikeda Bhagavatam (Bhakthi TV)
A pioneering musical reality show, Palikeda Bhagavatam brought the Andhra Maha Bhagavatam by Potana to the television screen for the first time.

Parthu composed music for nearly 1,000 Bhagavata padyalu, which were taught to over 600 students worldwide.

Spanning two seasons in India and a third in the United States, the show showcased participants from across the globe.

Esteemed personalities such as Padma Shri Dr. Garikipati Narasimha Rao, Brahmasri Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma, and the iconic Sri S. P. Balasubrahmanyam graced the show, the latter attending the grand finale.

A touching biographical series celebrating the life and legacy of Kalatapaswi Sri K. Viswanath, Viswanadamrutam was hosted and executive produced by Parthu Nemani.

This 30-episode series featured eminent personalities such as Trivikram Srinivas, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Chiranjeevi, Sumalata, Venkatesh, Jayaprada, and others.

This trailblazing show was the first ever television tribute to Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, hosted by Parthu Nemani.

It features some of the final interviews of both Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry and K. Viswanath, making it a treasured piece of television history.

Prominent guests included Naga Ashwin, Srikanth Addala, V. N. Aditya, and more, each sharing heartfelt memories of Sastry garu.

Nada Nivedana (ETV/Keerthana Academy YouTube)
Conceptualized and musically directed by Parthu Nemani, Nada Nivedana is a soulful homage to Sri Tumu Narasimha Dasu (1790-1833), the saint-composer credited with the restoration of the Bhadrachalam Rama Temple.

Parthu composed and curated a musical anthology of 75 kritis, making him the only known musician to have done so.

The show featured over 70 artists rendering these
compositions.

The legendary Sri S. P. Balasubrahmanyam served as the show's anchor.

Swara Raga Githam (Swaravedika US/YouTube)
An innovative infotainment series produced in association with Swaravedika US, Swara Raga Githam celebrates the beauty and structure of Carnatic ragas through storytelling and performance.

Each of the 26 episodes explores a specific raga, its structure, and cultural significance.

Parthu mentored and guided 40+ participants from across the United States, who presented a variety of krithis, light music pieces, and film songs in multiple languages.

Judging & Mentoring
Parthu Nemani has been a respected voice in the world of music competitions, lending his expertise as a jury member, mentor, and visionary across several prestigious platforms.

He served as a jury member on ETV's iconic musical reality show Padutha Teeyaga, hosted by the legendary Sri S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, for an impressive twelve years, contributing significantly to the show's enduring legacy.

Parthu was also part of the selection panels for popular televised competitions such as Zee Telugu's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Maa TV's Super Singer, helping to identify and nurture emerging vocal talent.
Demonstrating both leadership and vision, Parthu conceptualized, designed, and conducted Voice of Australia - a singing competition aimed at discovering amateur talent -held in 2018 and 2019, across major cities in Australia.

He has also served as a judge for numerous international music competitions organized by leading cultural associations such as TANA (Telugu Association of North America) and ATA (American Telugu Association), in locations including the USA, Australia, and Dubai.
Through these roles, Parthu Nemani has played an instrumental part in shaping the next generation of musical talent, while continuing to champion Indian music on global platforms.
